Table tennis is played in either singles or doubles format. It is played by using round shape bat to hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table divided by a net.
The server has to hold the ball with an open palm, toss it up and strike it in a manner that the ball bounces first on the server’s side of the table before bouncing over the net to the other side.
The ball must remain behind the endline and above the upper surface of the table, known as the playing surface, at all times during the service.
